12 Weeks and Counting
This week is a big one for us. I've got my last appointment at CARS on Wednesday and my last ultrasound and checkup with Dr. Kennedy. It will be nice to be released to an OB office, but I'm really going to miss the pampering and personal attention from the fertility clinic. We should see arms and legs, fingers and toes, even more clearly this week and also the umbilical cord and placenta. It will be interesting to see if the heartbeat is still as fast as it has been. Hopefully the baby will cooperate again and move around a lot for us.
I also have a big week at work with the election on Thursday. I'm praying everything goes well and that there isn't too much stress. I've tried to keep my stress level as low as possible for the baby's sake, but I know come Thursday that will be a tough task! Right now I'm just so exhausted, after the election I think I'll just want to stay in bed for the whole weekend!
We also got some good news at church. Our youth minister Ben and his wife Whitney announced that they are expecting, too!!! She'll find out a more definite due date when she goes for her first ultrasound Wednesday, but she thinks she's probably due in early to mid March. I'm so happy that I'll have someone to go through this pregnancy with - for both encouragement and to complain! I know they'll make great parents, and Tim and I wish them both the best! There are five kids at our church two years old or younger - and now we've got two more on the way! I'm so glad our little one will have a group of friends to grow up with in the church (as well as a little cousin!).

12 weeks already!! Seems impossible... We were just in Edisto like last week. You've gotta be careful with Ben and Whitney. You know how competitive he is, he's likely to try to get Whitney to race you. So... if it comes down to it, I vote C-section for the win (compare it to diving across the finish line, pretty much the same thing). Seriously though, I'm a lot more excited about this pregnancy than I probably seem! I told Amy that I was excited the other day and she seemed surprised by the fact. So I figured I'd let you know that I'm very very excited!!!

Time does fly by so fast. We had lots of other couples at church having babies at the same time, and it was great.Daniel does remember Ben quite well. He will be a good uncle.
May the next part of your
pregnacy be as easy as it has been so far. -

Sorry if this comes up twice, I got an error message...anyway, you absolutely must get a Bella band or the less expensive Motherhood maternity version (this is what I had). You will wear it all the time. It helps you wear your regular pants longer, your maternity pants sooner and later can provide some tummy support. Best purchase while I was pregnant!

I truly hope that everything keeps going as smooth as it has. When "she" is born, you all have to start on #2-you know you have to at least have 2(for nanny Kathy's sake). Then it will be like a repeat of Heather, Emily, and Hunter in our family. I can't wait to see how "she" and Eli act toward each other.
