A Walk in the Park

As some of you may know, I am very active in my community Kiwanis club (served as President last year). As part of that club, I'm helping to plan and build a playground! So this weekend, Tim and Laurel joined me as I went to another local playground to get some ideas. The park we visited features a Boundless Playground, which is completely accessible to children of all abilities. It is a really great playground, and we all had a blast (especially since the weather has finally warmed up!)

Here are a few pictures from our visit.

And thanks to Jamie for the adorable "L" shirt!

Can you bring Mommy a book?

One of Laurel's favorite things is to read her books. She likes to read with Tim, her grandparents or me, but she also loves to just pull all her books out into the floor and look through them. For those of you who know me, you know how much this warms my heart!

Our home has lots of shelves full of books, and now I'm also enjoying my Nook for digital books. Some of my fondest childhood memories are curling up with a good book far away from my noisy brothers. For her to have the same love of reading would be thrilling!

Tim and I like to take trips to local bookstores and are so excited that she can join us now!
