Officially in Second Trimester

I'm 14 weeks pregnant today, which officially moves me into the Second Trimester! I love that pregnancy has all these milestones you get to accomplish! For me, it makes the time seem to go by faster when I can look forward to weeks at a time instead of just anticipating delivery day. This morning was my first appointment at Medical Center OB/GYN. I saw a nurse practitioner. The visit went fine, but I definitely miss CARS! I feel like just one of a big mass of pregnancy ladies at the OB. I keep having to tell everyone my background and why I've not been to see them until I'm this far along in my pregnancy, etc. The one bright spot of the appointment was getting to hear the heartbeat on the doppler. It was 164 bpm, which means the heartrate is continuing to slow down. Could that mean boy?!?!

On September 2nd, I'll have my next OB appointment at their new office at the MedTech Park. I'm excited to see it; I'm sure it will be very nice! I'll see Dr. Lewis at that appointment. And then I get to schedule the BIG ULTRASOUND! It will probably wind up being around Sept. 26-30 (sometime in the range). Tim wants the gender to be a surprise, but I don't think there's any possible way I can wait. I mean, if the technology exists, why not use it?
